Cost of training

The average cost of training is ₦34,200 (£140) per student, per month. Lantana asks the students to pay ₦11,900 (£50) per month. This cost includes provision of basic utilities such as power and water. The supply of electricity in Enugu is very limited and this means that the college has to resort to the use of a generator in order to operate its equipment and provide light. There is no running water at the facility and so it must be constantly purchased.

Lantana subsidises the difference between the cost and the fees charged through fundraising and providing external catering services. In some cases Lantana waives the stipulated fee if the young women cannot come up with the funds themselves.
